PNP Report Confirms Flight Attendant Dacera Died Of Natural Causes

The PNP Crime Laboratory’s medico-legal report dated January 11 reveals that Dacera died due to a medical condition: Aortic aneurysm.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has confirmed that flight attendant Christine Dacera died of natural causes, ruling out the crime of homicide that authorities first alleged the case to be.

Medico-legal officer Police Lt. Col. Joseph Palmero stated that Dacera suffered from loss of blood due to the ruptured aorta that killed her within a few hours, citing a report on the preliminary investigation on the case.

“Rape and/or drug overdose will not result (in) the development of aneurysms. Even overdose and ruptured aneurysm are two different conditions and cannot be both included as cause of death of a patient. Based on the available information on hand the manner of death is classified as natural death,” said Palmero in a report from ABS-CBN News.

The report furthered that neither alcohol nor any recreational drug could cause defects on the aorta, removing suspicions that Dacera’s usage of such substances on New Year’s Eve might have had an impact on her death.
